Ancestors to Feature in Toronto International Film Festival's Discovery Program

Ancestors will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this September.

Written and directed by David Turpin in his feature film debut, Ancestors stars Éanna Hardwicke, Jack Wolfe, Jessica Reynolds, Rupert Everett, and Christina Hendricks.

Set in 1988, Ancestors is a haunting story in which dreams, memories, and history collide as a young man searches for his missing friend.

A Samson Films and Lunatica production, Ancestors marks the fourth Samson Films production to screen in the Discovery programme at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The film was supported by Screen Ireland, Northern Ireland Screen, BCP, Mister Smith Entertainment, and RTÉ.
